Alumni > Aditya Mahesh Kumar’s NIOS Journey
Before joining NIOS, I struggled to keep up with the intense demands of the ICSE curriculum, which left me feeling overwhelmed and disconnected. In the eighth grade, I took a leap of faith and transitioned to NIOS, seeking a more tailored educational path.
The change was transformative. NIOS gave me the freedom to choose subjects that genuinely interested me, and the flexible schedule allowed me to balance academics with my passion for sports and extracurriculars. The smaller class sizes meant I received personalized attention, which helped me truly understand the material and excel in my studies.
This shift was more than just a change in curriculum—it was a journey of personal growth. NIOS taught me patience, perseverance, and the importance of embracing a step-by-step approach to learning. These lessons paid off when I gained admission to Christ (Deemed to Be University), where I thrived as an active participant in college life, eventually earning the honor of serving as the Student Representative for my department.
Looking back, joining NIOS was the best decision I ever made. It not only reshaped my academic journey but also helped me discover my strengths, pursue my passions, and grow into the person I am today.
