The Trustees
Vidya Niketan was established in 1984 under the patronage of the Kasturba Education Trust.
The Trust is dedicated to Ms. Kasturba Vithani
Ms. Hansa Vithani
Managing Trustee of the Kasturba Trust and founder Director of Vidya Niketan School. She is a firm believer in the dictum “Teach with Love”.
Ms. Hiral Dayal
Trustee in Shrujan Threads of Life – An NGO that works with crafts women in Kutch to revitalize the ancient craft of hand embroidery. She is also a Trustee in another NGO which works for physically handicapped people. Highly creative, she is proficient in paper cut work, water colour and micropen and in teaching senior citizens therapeutic art to manage Parkinson’s disease, Dementia and Alzheimer.
Ms. Kavitha Asher
With an M.A B.Ed degree, Kavitha has been a teacher of English and Social Studies, for ICSE students and ISC students, she is also associated with an NGO to teach spoken English to adults, and another NGO which works on improving the environment. Kavitha loves reading, music, social work and teaching.
Ms. Nina Marfathiya
A B.Sc B.Ed with 18 years teaching experience at primary and secondary levels in Kolkata.
Ms. Kanchan Rajda
Works as a Marketing Manager with Rajda Industries and export pvt ltd., a company involved in the manufacture of leather bags and other leather goods. Ms. Rajda is involved in liaising with the customers and then in ensuring quality control and delivery of the merchandise ordered.

The Advisory Board
- The Advisory Board has been instituted to enable interaction between parents, teachers and the Management.
- The Advisory Board therefore consists of the members of the Management, one teacher representative from each section of the School, and two parent representatives from each section from the school.
- The teachers and parents are on the board for a period of two years. Issues related to certain school policies and infrastructure are discussed.
- The Advisory Board meets three times a year.
