Aadya Ranganath of grade 6 was placed first runner-up in the Commonwealth Youth Rapid Chess Championships 2024 in the under 12 girls’ category. This prestigious tournament was held from 31^st August to 1^st September 2024 at Citrus Hotel, Waskaduwa, Sri Lanka. This tournament was organized by the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka under the auspices of the Commonwealth Chess Association and the International Chess Federation. We, at VNS, are immensely proud of Aadya’s repeated achievements in the field of chess! We wish her many more such laurels in the future.
